Army Gear offers an additional layer of strategy for your War efforts! Troop Type specific Gear pieces can be Crafted, Upgraded, and Augmented to hone in on the exact combination of Troops that you prefer to use, amplifying your favorite strategy with powerful bonuses.

This article will cover everything you need to know about Army Gear, Augments, and how they will help you in War Combat!

Army Gear and Augments are being released to select Realms. Check your in-game blog for an announcement on when they will be arriving. If you don’t see a blog, stay tuned - they will arrive soon!

The Forge

First things first - in order to start Crafting Army Gear, you’ll need to build a Forge! This building is unlocked when you reach Citadel Lv 22, and you should be prompted to construct a Forge when you get there. You are not required to build it at this point, but the Build icon in your City View will be marked with a red dot until you do.

How Army Gear and Augments Work

Army Gear

Army Gear refers to three sets of Gear, each specializing in a Troop Type, with each including Armor and a Weapon. Everything regarding your Army Gear can be viewed and managed by accessing the Forge → Army Gear.

Tap on each piece of Gear to Craft or Enhance it! Crafting and Enhancing Army Gear requires Materials that can be found in several areas of the game, with Events and Sales being most prominent. Whenever you have enough Materials to Craft or Enhance a piece of Gear, you’ll see a red ‘!’ in the top right corner of that piece's icon to let you know it’s ready - the four materials used to Craft and Enhance your Army Gear are:

• Thread
• Steel
• Leather
• Blueprints

Use your Materials wisely to Craft and Enhance the Army Gear that best suits your strategy! You’ll unlock new Levels for your Army Gear as you increase the Level of your Forge. Each Level is broken down into individual Grades, and also has an associated Quality - every time you Enhance a piece of Gear, you are increasing its Grade. Each individual Grade will provide greater benefits!

As you upgrade your gear, you’ll gain Set Bonuses - own multiple pieces of Gear at the same Grade or Quality to receive extra benefits!

Tap on Gear Showcase and scroll to the right to view the benefits for all Gear Levels, Grades, and Rarities!

Augments

You’ll unlock Augments when you reach Citadel Lv 25! Augments are used to empower each of your Gear pieces once they are Crafted. 

Tap on each piece of Gear in the row of Gear pieces to Craft or Enhance an Augment for that Gear Piece. Crafting and Enhancing Augments also requires Materials that are found in Events and Sales - the three materials used to Craft and Enhance your Augments are:

• Augment Plating
• Gemstones
• Reports of Valor

Augments can be applied to each individual piece (Armor or Weapon) of Gear, and there are a total of 3 Augment Levels. Similar to Army Gear Set Levels, Augment Levels are unlocked as you increase the Level of your Forge, and have individual Grades that provide increasing benefits. Every time you Enhance an Augment, you are increasing its Grade.
